We, the faculty and staff of
Portland Arts and Technology High School (PATHS), believe that our
work is dedicated to providing equal educational opportunities in the arts and
technical education. As a school of choice, we serve a student population
diverse in age, gender, race and cultural background. Students are provided the
opportunity to obtain entry-level skills enabling them to enter the job market
or pursue post-secondary education.
We work in partnership with
the students, parents, sending schools and the community to promote and develop
educational excellence. The programs at PATHS are continuously modified to
reflect business and industry needs of the region and incorporate the changing
technology of the modern world. We use applied learning to ensure that all
students acquire essential skills and knowledge in their chosen occupational
areas. In all our programs, we are committed to integrating and delivering
Maine’s Learning Results in order to promote self-esteem, interpersonal
relationships, teambuilding and responsibility.
We, at PATHS, realize that
our obligation to students does not end with their graduation from our
programs. Our school community strives to remain a center for encouragement,
job referrals and counseling to former, present and future students.
GOALS

conditions for the success of all students.
